Instructions for installing the update:
1. Make sure that Word is not running on your computer!
2. Run the replace.reg file to update the registry.
(Save this file to your install directory for later use -
you will need to run this file each time you updated the
IBS.wiz file from this site! - this will ensure that the copy of
the IBS.wiz file in your template directory is updated. Make sure
you start the wizard using the start menu and not from word after
you have updated the IBS.wiz file in step 3)
3. Click on the above IBS.wiz link and save the file to the directory
where the IBS Wizard was installed usually C:\IBST\
Please Note: Sometimes the file downloads as "IBS.DOC" not
"IBS.WIZ" the file MUST be saved under the name IBS.wiz in order to work
properly. You may need to change(rename) the .doc to .wiz when saving!
(if you can't find the old IBS.wiz file then use 'find' to do a search for the
location of the ibs.wiz file - Start, Find, type ibs.wiz in the 'named' box
and select 'local hard drives' in the 'look in' box. Then click 'Find
Now' You should see a list of matching files consisting of two copies of
the ibs.wiz file: one in the C:\IBST\ directory-this is your main copy and
the other one usually in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Templates -this is
the alternate copy of the program which is used if you choose File, New.)
Feel free to replace both copies with the updated wizard file but make sure
you replace the one in the install directory first. (c:\IBST\ibs.wiz)
4. When it ask if you want to replace the older file answer 'yes'.
That is it!. You are now ready to create those wonderful charts!
